Reviews
We had a great experience great food love their salsa bar! Their food is not only fresh, but it's also very tasty!
I recently stopped by **Las Cazuelas** after hearing some good things, and while there were definitely some hits, there were also a few misses in terms of food. Let's break it down. First off, the **service** was great. The staff was friendly, fast, and super attentive, which is always a plus. We didn't have to wait long for our food at all, and they kept the chips and salsa coming, which was much appreciated. I'm a sucker for **free chips and salsa**, and their salsa had a nice balance of heat and flavor - just the right amount of kick to get you going. For food, I went with the **nachos** and a **chicken burrito**. The portions were *huge*--you definitely won't leave hungry here. Both dishes came out piping hot, which I always appreciate, but unfortunately, the nachos were a bit of a letdown. The **guacamole**, in particular, felt really earthy and bland--not the bright, fresh flavor I was hoping for. The nacho cheese wasn't anything special either, and overall, the nachos just didn't have the depth of flavor I expect from a good Mexican spot. Now, the **chicken burrito** was much better. The chicken was tender, juicy, and nicely seasoned. The rice and beans inside were good too--definitely a satisfying burrito. The portion was so big that I couldn't finish it, which is always a win in my book. While I enjoyed the fast service and the size of the portions, I was disappointed by the nachos, and the guac really threw me off. That said, I'd definitely come back to try some other dishes (maybe skip the nachos next time). If you're looking for big portions, good service, and an overall solid meal, Las Cazuelas is a good choice, but if you're a nacho aficionado, this might not be your spot.
Las Cazuelas is a solid choice for Mexican food. Sure, it's a bit watered down compared to "more authentic" Mexican taquerias but there's nothing to shame here when it comes down to food that tastes good that comes with quick and efficient service. The location shares a parking lot with other businesses so parking can get crowded. There's a popular buffalo wing chain next door (you know which one I'm talking about). So, depending on when you visit, be prepared to park a bit further than you'd expect. The interior of the location is smaller than you'd expect from looking at the outside. Judging by the fact that the restaurant even has a "to-go container" shelf by the registers with a hand written note on it saying "do not touch" leads me to believe that the kitchen area is probably quite cramped as well. So they're trying to maximize the interior footprint the best they can. Even so, I didn't have trouble finding a table for two. Something I always appreciate when going out for Mexican food / Tex-mex is a good salsa bar. This place delivers on that. From cucumbers, to radishes, escabeche, and a couple of different salsas to choose from, there are plenty of options. There's one mild green salsa and a spicier red salsa, plus pico de gallo available. I ordered the regular Carne asada burrito which came out really quickly after I ordered it. I'm talking about less than 3 minutes. It was hot, wrapped well, and ready for devouring. The carne itself was a bit dry and the rice didn't taste overly seasoned. The beans were cooked perfectly though (I hate when they're overdone) and had a nice "bite" to them. With that said; Was this the best burrito I've ever had? No. Would I come back and try another one? Yes. Overall, the shortcomings here are minimal and the food itself is good enough to warrant another try. The prices are fair ($11.95 for my burrito) so, if you're in the area, it's worth a try yourself. Otherwise, there are plenty of stellar options for Mexican food in the area.
Excellent food with a nice ambiance. I'm from Los Angeles so I KNOW real Mexican food. Like, actually authentic ok... Anyway, I'm here to tell you this place is really good and authentic, like they claim. They got horchata, coffee (very important to me), and a variety of other drinks. They got a salsa bar with free chips that's hella stacked and is hella fresh. I dig it. The breakfast burrito is stuffed with all the meat, cheeses, sauce, potatoes and refried beans that big tortilla could hold. It was delicious. Come eat here, you won't regret it.
Their potato tacos are so good! The shells are crispy and the potato filling is yummy. Just a heads up - they can go a little crazy with the sour cream and guacamole, so I'd ask for those on the side if you want to control how much you get. The staff is always quick and super friendly. You should definitely give them a try!
